Hello.
So I'm new here. Not new to the fitness world, but more so to the weightloss world. I've never actually attempted... never really attempted... never completely and truthfully attempted to lose weight before. Once upon a time I was a theatre student who danced and worked out all day long (though I have never been skinny), now I'm a recluse in a new town with no friends... so I'm here to break my habits and become a little more like the old me.

To sum it all up, I'm a 25 year old female living in MB Canada and I want to lose 35lbs... If you have any tips or suggestions please feel free to hit me up. If you have nothing more to offer than friendship, that's even better.

  • You took the words right out of my mouth. Use to be a dancer and was very active, now 24 with a desk job and in a town I'm still new to; really wanting to get back to my old self. I'm also looking to lose over 30 lbs and it is also my first real try. Good luck and so glad you posted. Really helps to know there's someone in pretty much the exact same situation as me!

    Hello!

I'm semi-new to MFP too. I'm glad you made the decision to join. I think you'll like it. Everyone is really supportive and all working towards the same goals to lose weight and stay fit. You've already taken the first step. Just believe in yourself and stay positive and you will definitely reach your goal!!!

I love my food. So food has been the biggest challenge for me. I set my food goal for 1200 cal/day and incorporated more fruits and veggies and lots water!!! If I want a hamburger, instead of going to fast food, I just modify it at home. I also work out at least 45min-1 hr at gym 6 days/wk. I also have a friend who is doing the Jillian Michael's 30 Ibs. shred dvd to incorporate her workouts at home because she doesn't have a lot of time to go to the gym. I've heard JM's dvds are really good workouts!!!

Good luck to you and feel free to chat with me anytime!!! I am happy offer support!!! Just believe in yourself. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!

Thanks for friending. I'm really glad you replied to my post. It's very reassuring knowing there is someone else in the same boat as myself! Here's to finding ourselves all over again :D
