Question about TDEE Calculators, Energy Expenditure Calculat

Ok, so anytime I use one of these, they give you something like the following for your daily activity level:

- Sedentary (desk job)
- Light Exercise (exercising 1-3 days a week)
- Moderate Exercise (exercising 3-5 days a week)
- Heavy Exercise (exercising 5-7 days a week)
- Daily Exercise (exercising 7 days a week and a physical job)

The problem I have is that I have a desk job, but I work out once or twice a day 4-5 days a week. So where do I fit in? If I click 'sedentary', the particular calculator I have up now says my Energy Expenditure is something like 1700 a day, but if I click 'Light Exercise" it goes up to 2200! That's a big jump!

This has always confused me.

I have a desk job as well but I exercise for 1-2 hours daily and I set mine to Sedentary. I actually just went into my profile and fooled around with the options and it didn't do anything to change the calorie goal. The only thing it did was change how many pounds/week I'd be losing at whatever setting I put in.
