Logging on weekends

I've been using MFP for about 3-4 weeks. I only want to lose about 10, maybe 15 pounds. I'm mostly trying to make a lifestyle change and be more healthy. I'm 25 years old, 5'4", and currently weigh about 135. I say "about" because I need a new scale, haha. I'm really good about logging during the week, but I'm finding it hard on the weekends. My fiance and I usually have a date night each weekend and go out to eat. We mostly eat at local restaurants, which don't always have nutritional info available. Sometimes I'll try to guess the calories, but it frustrates me to not have exact numbers, so then I stress over where/what we're eating and I end up not enjoying myself. I'm averaging 1400-1600 calories a day, and I work out at least 3 days a week, currently doing Couch to 5k and strength training at home on my off days. Should I obsess over weekends as much as I am right now? I log breakfast, lunch, and snacks at home, and use that to make a healthier choice at dinner. I'm starting to develop major OCD over my weekend logging!

I'm still trying to figure this out myself. I took this weekend off from logging because my brain needed a break, and because I was going out with friends and didn't want to be fastidiously researching the menu on MFP and then counting bites the whole time. For me restaurants are about fun, and a quesadilla with a few margs was just more appealing than fish and veggies. I get enough of that during the week.

I was also on MFP last year and took weekends off, and still lost 10 lbs.

I imagine that if you're on the ball 5 days out of 7 you won't see any major weight gain. It doesn't sound like you're racing home and eating 3,000 calories before noon on a Saturday, it sounds like you just want to let your hair down and go out without fussing. I say go for it--or maybe you could log one day and not the other if you're stressed about it.
