This weekend was the relay for life here in our community. My daughter and a co-worker were team captains for the bank that they work for. Out of 47 Teams they raised the most monies for the cancer society. $12,500.00!!!!! I am so proud to the girls. Anyway I walked for their team during the wee hours of the night. My boyfriend and I walked 5 hours straight and figured it was about 18 miles and about 1350 calories burned. I know this morning its all about sore feet and the yawns. Today will be a whole lot of napping and very few chores.   It sure feels good to gert out there and give back for a great cause!!!

:drinker: Cheers for you! Our community's Relay for Life is this coming Saturday and I am participating as well. I intend to walk for at least 85% of the time so hopefully I will earn some serious extra calories for that! Relay IS a fantastic thing and I will no doubt be a part of it every year possible! Congrats to your daughter and her co-worker on some kick-butt fundraising efforts!!!!!!! :flowerforyou:

I walked for about 4 hours last year and plan to do more this year, I'm on my credit unions team. I know how you feel, it takes alot of energy to walk that far!
