Guys night out help!

So I have two guy friends and every tuesday they want to go out for tacos and beer and I want to go and hang out but i don't want to say "oh i'm on a diet i can't have that and i don't just wanna sit there and drink water how do i handle this without coming off as a complete chick (no offense intended) but i don't want to be a stick in the mud. Any guys out there with advice.

    guys or girls, friends are friends. they should want to support you and be there to encourage you. perhaps you can suggest you occasionally hang out by doing something like going bowling/batting cages. It gets you up and moving around but most of those places still serve beer if they choose to partake.

    i kinda tried that but they wanna do tacos and beer cus tuesday nights this restaraunt has $1.25 tacos and $1 drafts i'm not sure i can compete with that lol

    Just Nurse a light beer and have a Taco. Not a big deal.

    Make a plan and stick to it. Have one beer and a couple tacos and then just drink water. See how it goes. it's sort of a test of will power at that point. If you can't do it, then you know just to say no next time.

    Eventually you'll have to lead a regular life when your not on a diet and be able to handle these situations. So, you can start practicing now.

    Order the cheap tacos but dump the shells and enjoy cheap taco salad. Cheap beer, well that's almost impossible to turn down lol. just do some calf raises and sitting ab crunches while you're there to earn back some calories :)

    Find out where you're going, check the nutrition info or menu. If the restaurant doesn't list nutrtional info, look up the info for similar dishes and estimate. I enjoy eating out and beers on a weekly basis and plan ahead for each occasion. Go out and enjoy yourself.

    I agree with the previous advice. Try to make a plan and stick to it!! I def love my drinks though so I can understand how after a few beers, your "plan" might go out the window and you might eat/drink more than you intended. I'm not saying you are like this at all, but since I know this about myself I make sure to do that extra cardio earlier in the day so I can really enjoy my night!!! This is not a diet, it's a new way of life! I know that I love some good tacos and drinks, and I plan accordingly so that I can have them and not feel guily for "cheating". Enjoy your night out with the guys! Sounds like a great deal to me, wish I could find that where i live lol

    Thanks for the advice guys. i can do this and have fun it just gets frustrating when all my friends just wanna go out to eat all the time and your right i just have to have some will power this is life and its gonna happen and i don't have to hold them back to have a healthier life for myself. thanks my will power is renewed and tomorrow i will do better lol
