thoughts of rice white vs brown or any at all i know its cheap but where on cals and nutrition is it worth it?

    Our family is big rice eaters , brown is healthier but I usually eat white. I weigh out my cooked rice now.
    If I eat curry I weigh out 200g rice and 1 cup of curry, comes to about 600 calories for both.

    Brown rice is alot better than white rice. If you're big rice eaters, try brown basmati rice. I'm Indian and we eat rice alot too. Brown basmati rice helps alot in terms of cutting down on the taste loss.

    Also, try adding things to your white rice if you must use white rice (I use white rice basically because I still got a big bag of it left and I dont feel like throwing it out). Like this recipe for example

    I eat Lundberg wild rice mix...it is awesome! Much healthier than white rice!

    I also have soe white rice left and I don't want to just throw it out. I make it with veggies and spices and it tastes quite good.

    Nothing wrong with white basmati rice. Mix some brown with it if you want but soak the brown for 1hr and then cook it together with the white.
    For some white rice may be easier on the gut then brown because the fibre can irritate gut lining.
