C Section and flat tummy????

Hi moms,

I'm just wondering if any of you had C section and then they got flat abs.....if yes, do you have pictures for inspiration?? Can you share us your secrets ??? I lost about 60 pounds and have 20 more to go but feel miserable because of the horrible pouch that I have despite the hard workouts that I do 5-6 days a week.

P.S : I have 3 C-section and last one was 5 years ago.

Please hellllllllp

I have had 3 c sections, last one being 3 years ago and although I am lighter now than pre-pregnancies I still have my little tummy. Having lost the weight I'd gained and doing lots of cardio I am now starting to do more strength training and toning to hope this flattens it out a little more. I now fit into a uk size 8 comfortably though which I didn't before my children so i must b doing something right!! I have seen photos on here of women who have lost their 'pouch' do it shows with hardwork and determination it can be done :)

I have had 3 c-sections also. They were in 1987, 1990, and1995. I still have a lot of weight to lose, but my surgeon told me my abdominal muscles were stretched apart during each pregnancy and wouldn't go back together (like in the middle where a line runs up and down through a person's "six pack") without having surgery where they actually lace those muscles back together. He said I can refine the muscles and reduce the fat around them, but that no amount of exercise would bring them back together.

As far *kitten* the "pooch" goes....yes I have that too! I say on the day God made me He must have been giving a two for one special because I have a butt in the back and a butt in the front. I have been told basically the same thing about that pouch of skin and fat by a plastic surgeon. I went as far as having a consultation and getting pictures taken. He said once I got down to a certain weight he could do the abdominalplasty (lacing the abs back together) and the tummy tuck (removing the excess skin and fat). I have seen some women that have had c-sections that don't have the pooch of skin....I don't understand why some have it and some don't. I just know that with my scar (I have actually had 9 abdominal surgeries through the same incision) it is pulled so tight and is so thick that it is like putting a tight rubber band on a water balloon. Since losing weight I have to tuck my pooch into my pants and I hate it! I hope one day in the future when I am down to my goal weight that I will have enough money to have surgery.

    I wish you the best!!

I had a c-section 9 months ago. As I am loosing weight that little flap is going away bit by bit. I suggest double and reverse crunches. I don't know how long ago yours was but make sure your stomach muscles are healed first. I took a post-partum recovery exercise course to repair mine. They had you do a lot of oblique crunches, single-leg leg lifts and plank on knees exercises combined with cardio and of course as any post-partum exercise class, lots of pelvic floor exercises. My midwife says it takes a lot of work but it can go away. If someone can help me learn how to post pictures I can show you the diff between October of last year (4months post-partum) and Feb. of this year (just before I started 30DS) I'll try to take a current pic too.

I've also had 3 c-sections and have that lovely flap. My last one was 3 1/2 years ago. I've lost 24 pounds since starting my journey and only recently has that area started to get smaller. My flap sticks out farther than the rest of my tummy :(. The only thing that has really helped is TurboFire. I did Jillian Michaels, kettlebell workouts, Biggest Loser workouts, running, etc. Since starting Turbo Fire 5 weeks ago, I've lost 2 inches around where my flap is. I hope to lose it completely but I'm highly doubtful that will happen.

    Best of luck!
  • I don't have any pictures, but i have had two pregnancies, one natural delivery and one section, and I don't have any pooch. I have a tiny bit of tummy left, but it's not overhanging my scar or anything, it just appears the same as before I had any babies and gained a few pounds, if you know what I mean. It's going down in a normal way as I lose weight, and I don't anticipate it remaining as I lose weight. I'm 5'6", 142lbs. I think I was up to about 170lbs just after my first pregnancy, which was my highest non-pregnant weight.

i have had two c sections, and my stomach is almost flat, i had two low laying tranverse incisions, if that makes a difference, i am also very overweight at around 160lbs and 5 foot 4, but my stomach isn't that bad looking.
