Hi everyone,

I have recently started logging food again after a 3 week plateau and I find that I am over on sugar and very close to my carb allowance most days. However, If it were not for the amount of fruit and veg I eat I wouldnt be over. For example, My daily allowance of sugar set by MFP is 24g. However, I logged a banana and that contained 14g sugar!! Then I logged some aubergine and that had 9g! Its very hard to stay under my daily sugar allowance unless I cut out all fruit and some veg.

Does everyone else count the sugar and carbs from fruit and veg or do you seperate them and only count sugar from processed (not clean) foods etc?

Thanks in advance :)

To be honest, I've pretty much stopped caring about my sugar intake (that's always over) because it's always basically down to the fruit and veg I eat. There's very little added, and processed sugar from my diet these days. In my opinion, I'd rather be over on the sugar allowance with the consumption of fruit and veg, than having to cut out my fruit and veg, and be under my sugar allowance.
To me, it doesn't really feel like that mfp accounts for the natural sugars in the fruit and veg...

    No worries about it.

yep thats how I feel. Its impossible to get enough vitamins and fibre etc from fruit and veg without going over 24g sugar per day :/

    Thanks for the advice :)
