Yesterday I ran my first "Official" 5K.
My weight was 229 and my time was 30:17
5 Years ago I was 205 and my time was 24:45
I used to run recreational 5K's to maintain weight, but running an actual race really inspired me.
So it's time to get serious. Setting a 24:30 5K goal for 7/4/2012.

Great attitude! There is something just inspiring about finishing an official 5K that makes you want to run another! I love doing 5Ks because they are fun and quick, and there are a ton of them year round (at least here in Texas).
Best of luck in your training, and let us know how it goes at your next race. 24:30 by July should be attainable if you build miles and do some speed work. Good luck!
