73 days to half-marathon???

My friend just asked me to do a half-marathon with her on june 17th...thats 73 days away
I can barely make 3k let alone 21k....
She says that its a *snap* to build up my endurance and I can do it
I feel I should first attempt a 5k than a 10k...you know work my way up
For all of you runners beginner or intermediate
What are your suggestions on this??? Is it do-able???

    Yep totally do-able!

First the the C25K app and start there. Then increase your distance at every run. The week before your half, you should be able to run 120% your goal distinance.

I personally wouldn't do it. Seems a bit rushed. I think your initial thought is correct, start with a 5k or 10k

I wouldn't do it. I think it is a good way to hurt yourself a derail not only any running goals you may have, but any other fitness goals.

It may be a "snap" to death march through a race un-prepared. But it isn't a "snap" to train your body to handle that distance. If you respect your body and allow it the amount of time needed to prepare and strengthen you will havea much better experience should you choose to run a HM later.

But you knew that already, didn't you? :) Go with your gut and run smart.
