I'm looking to treat myself for my birthday with very much limmited cash, so should I:

a) Get a HRM (If so, I'm only interested in accurate calorie burn- not GPS, heart rate monitoring, pedometry, vacuuming my house- I'm only interested in knowing calorie burn from exertion)

OR

b) Some sessions with a personal trainer to get some lifting/ strength training in my life and know how to do it properly.

So, my fitness pals, what do YOU recomend? If it's the HRM, what kind?

Thanks soooo much for your help!

It depends what's more important to you. If you're unsure of how to use equipment and need someone to push you, definitely go w/ the personal trainer.

If you're comfortable in your exercise and just want a better tracker, go w/ the HRM.

    Good luck! and happy birthday!

Actually after re-reading that, go w/ the trainer. Who cares how many calories you burn if you're not doing exercise properly ha know? The HRM can be a memorial day gift! haha
