Changing Settings

This is kind of a dumb question. I think I'm not eating enough. I had my info on MFP set to a 1 pound loss a week, and it gave me 1200 cals/day. I changed it to .5 lbs per week, and it's still giving me 1200 cals/day. So, how do I actually change it to reflect more accurately what I should be eating?
My BMR is 1271 and TDEE is 1523. Of course, eating 20% less than my TDEE puts me at less than my BMR, which I don't want to do. I don't have a lot of weight to lose, and my primary objective is to tone/tighten/gain muscle.
