Anyone heard of these products? calorie free alfredo sauce and strawberry jam both seem too good to be true. do they taste like garbage? Whats the deal?

I tried those shiritaki miracle noodles....they smell like rotting sewage. absolutely gross. I couldnt even swallow them because they smelled so bad... so im very leary on these calorie free products

edit::i am aware there is probably no nutritional value and they are chock-full of chemicals.....but im just wondering if anyones actually tried them?
also, anyone actually LIKE shiritaki noodles????

I only like the Walden Farms pancake syrup. The rest I can do without. And if made right, shiritaki noodles are pretty good. But you definintely have to rinse them like crazy otherwise they smell like rotting fish. Just my opinion.

how do you rinse them to stop this smell?

Completely agree. I actually rinse, then boil the noodles to get rid of the smell. Or get someone else to do it so the stench doesn't cling to your nostrils.

The pancake syrup is awesome and so is the strawberry syrup (for what they are). My husband likes the chocolate dip but I thought it was horrible. I won't even try the peanut butter because I've only heard negative about it. Plus, I'm in love with PB2.

Some people parbroil the shiritaki noodles, some people nuke them in the microwave, some people keep on rinsing until the cows come home. I both rinse and microwave them. There are usually instructions on the package on how to prepare them for cooking.

  • I have only tried a few walden farms things. I think they have so many chemicals and preservatives it is not worth what they sell them for.

IMHO I didnt like any of the products i tried. I feel like they are so watered down too.
