Peak District Walking

Options
Hello :)

I am looking to do a 10ish mile walk at some point over the weekend, i am in Sheffield and would like to drive over to the Peak District. So far i have only found 6/7 mile walks online, does any have any good recommendations for a walk and also for a good pub lunch!?

Many thanks

Me and my girl were out walking around Mam Tor near Edale the weekend before last when we had that beautiful sunshine. Beautiful place, beautiful day, had a picnic at the top.

You could try this site for some ideas on walking in the Peaks (and elsewhere):

Yes around Mam Tor is lovely. I also did a nice walk by The Cat and Fiddle pub - one of the highest pubs in the country and the roast dinner was nice. If you get hold of an OS map you can just plan your own walk of the right length. Enjoy it - I love it in the Peaks.

I did one around the Peak District a couple of weeks back that was just over 13 miles.

I didn't arrange it so not 100% sure on the details but here was the itinerary on the day:

Arrive at Fox House Inn, Hathersage 1045
    Set off on walk 1100
Upper Burbage Bridge (2 miles) 1130
    Cowper Stone (2.5 miles) RV1 1140 - 1200
    Stanage Edge (4 miles) 1230
    Crow Chin (5 miles) 1245
    Never Reever Low (6.5 miles) RV2 1310 - 1330
    Stanage Edge (9 miles) 1405
    Cowper Stone (10.5 miles) RV3 1430-1440
Upper Burbage Bridge (11 miles) 1450
    Burbridge Rocks (12.75 miles) 1515
    Burbridge Bridge (13 miles) 1520
Back to Fox House Inn (13.5 miles) RV4 1530-1600

The lunch menu looked very reasonably priced at the Fox House Inn too, not sure about the quality cos we just had a drink and left.

And here's a GPS map of the walk we did:

    Hope it helps :)
