Weighing In

I've just started a new fitness routine/diet, and I'm leery about the prospect of weighing in. I realize that there's no way to empirically measure my progress without doing so, making it a necessary evil. Stepping on the scale every day seems like it would be not only disheartening, but downright depressing. So I'm curious--how often do you usually weigh in? Every week? Or bi-weekly? The first of the month? What do you think?

I always do it on a friday morning just before my weekend starts seems the better time for me as somtimes I go over my calories on a weekend so I always feel if I weighed on a monday and was higher it would be more disheartning.0
