So I am currently in a Ethical Issue class at my University.
I need to write a 6 page paper about an ethical issue of my choice.
I picked weight loss, since that's something I really care about.
She kept asking me what the ethical issue was though.. and that kind of stumped me.

Can anyone help me with what the ethical issue there would be?
Would it simply be that individual responsibility to our selves to be healthy?

Just one suggestion, but I think I'd personally do a paper about whether or not weight loss and healthy living is selfish. There are plenty of arguments for and against, and you could also discuss whether or not 'selfish' is a bad thing.

I've seen some pretty great articles about the fat acceptance movement. Is it more important to learn to love the self and accept other's appearance/lifestyles? Or more important to promote a healthy lifestyle?

Is it ethical for overweight people to be excluded from healthcare or to pay higher rates?
