Excited about a change I made...

I decided a short while back to eliminate all alcohol from my diet. Partly because I knew it would greatly improve my overall health and weight loss journey (DUH!), and partly because DH and I plan on getting pregnant in the next few months (YAY!!!).

I continue to be amazed over and over again by how much MORE I get to eat because 100s of my calories aren't being spent on a glass or two almost every night and 100s more aren't being spent on alcohol-induced "bad" snacking. (Yes, I drank too much.) It's a no-brainer that I get to eat more, but I can't believe that I get to be this full when I'm trying to lose weight!

There's no real purpose to this post except to share a little of my excitement.

I cut alcohol two weeks ago and lost six pounds since, didnt change my diet or anything-have been losing about 1,5 lbs a week, so I definitely attribute the extra six to the lack of alcohol!

Alcohol is empty calories, definitely contributes to making late night snacks and visiting the drive thru lol, not to mention feeling bloated for days.

Might have a few drinks at my birthday in a few weeks but other than that I am happy abstaining, at least as I try shed the lbs!

Aw great! It is very encouraging when you don't feel like you are starving all the time! Much easier to stay on the wagon!

That's wonderful! I've made the same decision, actually. Hubby & I started trying this month (fingers crossed). It's funny how similar our goals are. Best of luck in your journey!! :flowerforyou:
