i've been on here a little over a month, and i've been yo-yoing between the same 5 lbs for two weeks. i havent quite got enough willpower to not snack - everything in moderation is not working for me. i was thinking of using slim fast or another meal replacement programme to get me used to not eating very much. what is the general consensus about this? i know that people will say that its not healthy etc. and i know, in the long term it isnt.
has anybody tried it? thanks :)

Your food diary is locked so I can't see what you've been snacking on.

Have you tried healthy snack foods? I keep a bag of baby carrots handy , when I get the mid-afternoon urge to munch on something I grab a couple and it's problem solved (I like the sweetness of baby carrots too).

My problem is the snacking too but luckily because I've been so busy, I haven't really had the time (or felt like i needed to) snack throughout the day. I'm usually battling the urge at night though, which sucks cuz it's right before I go to bed. It's tough but we can do it!

As Brian said, baby carrots are always good. Almonds, too. If you reallllllllllllllly need to have chips or cookies, I'd say get the hundred calorie pack ones (although it's tough to just have one). Maybe have someone keep track and hide them somewhere haha

Oh and drink lots and lots of water. When my stomach feels full from drinking a ton of water, I can't bare to put anything in my mouth. good luck! :)
  • I was also doing that couple weeks ago so I lowered my carbs for about a week and bingo, the scale went down and stayed down. I was actually able to drop another 1.5 pounds also.
