Looking for friends who cook!

Hello everyone!
I'm looking for some active friends on MFP! I have several "real life" friends that joined, but the only thing I end up seeing are "---- has not logged in for 2 weeks" not exactly helpful!
I'd love to make some friends that cook at home often, as I think veggies are delicious and love to cook at home healthy meals, and I believe in the occasional indulgence thrown in. I'd love to share recipes and meal ideas. I also try and eat fairly balanced meals.
(I think my newest culinary experiment is going to be to try some Indian dishes!)
I prefer outdoors-y exercise over gym but still do both, though I have a tendency to like to stick to the weights cause I find cardio machines mind numbing!
I'm 5'4" at my highest I was probably about 220-230
I got down to 183 about 6 months ago but after doing research realized I had put my body into starvation mode through restricting too. I upped my calories, gained 10lbs, finals and the holidays hit, and I started MFP at 202.
I'm doing it right now, and down to 190.
(size 12/13 jeans, medium tops (except target I'm a small, their sizes are huge!))
Since the end of middle school, I've always hovered around 180. I don't know if I entirely believe I CAN get below that.
My goal weight is 130 I think but higher or lower will depend on how I look not the scale. I'm strong and want to remain that way
I'd love to make friends who are around my height/weight, or have been there before, so I can glean helpful tips off your new healthy lifestyle, and so we can share this journey together!
Hope you all have a wonderful day, and good luck to all of you on your journey!
Best,
Megan

I am all about cooking (former home economics teacher). I cook more often than eat out (there is nothing better than to eat your own cooked food). I would be glad to join your group and share recipes. I have started a FB page called "You can live healthy now" where I post everything from food (recipes, etc), to exercise, and other topics on a healthy lifestyle. Check it out, just this week I have posted several delicious recipes for all gourmands of all walks of life. Look forward to the idea and recipe exchange.0

Megan,
I have been doing MFP seriously since October 2011. I am down 21 lbs. (my ticker is a little off). I cook quite often for myself and my family. I am 5'2". At my highest, I was 159lbs. Now down to 138lbs. I am a huge believer in healthy, balanced meals. I only do my major grocery shopping once a month. I plan out my meals for the month, make my shopping list and then go shopping. It saves me money and keeps me from impulse buying (especially junk food). In fact, I will be planning my menu this weekend to go shopping next Thursday evening.
I am always looking for friends to share ideas and recipes with. I will send you a friend request. Hope you have a great day!
