15lb and no change...

Normally I wouldn't be one to post anything self pitying, but today, and yesterday, I just feel meh about this whole thing. The scales tell me I have lost 15lb since I started, yet I honestly feel, and look, no damn different in my body. What's up with that?! My boyfriend was surprised I'd lost so much as well, because he can't see any difference either
I wish I'd taken photos or something around crimbo, just in case I could find SOMETHING that had physically changed about me. I've started taking photos as from today, so I shall give it another month and see where things are then. By no means am I giving up, I am just feeling really blah when so many people are posting great success stories, and even a 10lb weight loss is dramatically showing, and here's me, still with my muffintops and saddlebags, still a chubster
So enough of the self pity, can anyone relate?

I feel the same. I've lost 16lbs and while I do not see the change, I have noticed a change in my energy levels as my workouts are concerned and I feel better. I think it will take another 10 or so pounds before I see a difference. However, I bet if you were to see someone who does not see you daily they will notice the difference. Hang in there, I can't wait to see your before and after pics. You will do great!0

Maybe the changes are on the inside?? Like your heart and all the cells in your body are going "OH YEAH!" lol I bet if you saw someone that has not seen you in a couple months, they would notice! Sometimes the people we see everyday are the last to notice. Glad to see you are not giving up!! Pick up something that weighs 15 lbs and carry it around for about 10 mins.... you will notice the difference!! Good job!!:flowerforyou:0 -
But you have changed. You've made your health a priority. You've committed to excercising and eating right. You've joined a community (MFP) that supports you, and you support them . You have become strong.
You've changed.0 -
You still see the same "you" in the mirror.
As the change is as slow (which is the best way to keep it off) you will not notice.
Part of the 15 lbs will be water. Part might be the conversion to muscle.
Do your clothes feel different on? Are you dropping inches rather than lbs?
Keep going as you are about half way to your "goal weight".0 -
My thoughts? 15pounds (or 6.87kgs here), while yes, its a great loss. But unless you're quite small to start with, than no. You probably won't see any difference.
Don't give up hope though! You're doing a great job so far and i'm sure the further along you get the better you'll feel :flowerforyou:
Take a pic today though, so you can compare it once you've lost another 15 pounds0 -
I'm sure there is difference and you just aren't seeing it because you see yourself everyday and it's gradual. Even if you can't see it in the mirror, you are changing. You can run 2 miles without a break!! Something that just 5 short weeks ago you couldn't do. You are 15 lbs lighter and that a good thing. Don't get discouraged. You are doing great!0
