Any suggestions for entering wine in my food diary? The database is confusing me...it states 1 serving of 1z...I thought 1 serving was a 4oz glass. Thanks!!

That's if you go over a 4 oz serving you can just do it by the ounce, drinking some right now as a matter of fact!:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: I am not prone to just having a 4oz glass, that's tiny!
  • Have you ever seen a 4 oz glass of wine? Forget about it!!!....At first I wasn't going to record my wine calories but then I thought I would just to see....I just can't figure out how to enter it...I guess I thought if a 4 oz glass was one serving, the data base would be based on that but it doesn't seem like it.
    So, cheers! :drinker: :drinker:

  • My brother and his girlfriend live in Oregon...they also enjoy wine alot! So, I guess all I need to know is how many calories are in 1 small bottle and I'm set. I'm trying to reduce but I do love it....Cab Sav.!!!:tongue:

I also enjoy my nightly glasses of wine, and am trying to cut back. There is a support group, "CBA AKA The No Winers ! Yes that Means YOU !! " in the motivation / support part of the message boards, where we are all trying to cut back. (I don't know how to make it so you can just click on the title and go directly there).

Just put yourself down for 4 servings (if you only have a 4 ounce glass). I use one of the red wine listings and it shows a serving as being 5 ounces. But for white, i just put that I had 10 one ounce servings.

I too love wine. The calculator on this site states that 1 serving is 3.5 oz. if you are having a standard restaurant glass @ 8 oz...just choose 2 servings = 140 cals

I will tell you that since I have cut back on consumption on the spirts!!! My weight loss has loss has improved.

I typically have my wine on Fri and Sat. nights..unless it has been a bad day!

    Good luck

An entire bottle of red wine is about 500 calories.:noway:
