I can't figure out how to determine the amount of calories for JUST egg whites, and how much is in the yolk? I tried looking in the database, but it said there was less in 3 egg whites and 1 yolk, than 2 egg whites and 1 yolk, and that doesn't make sense to me...help!

  • it depends on the size of the egg, i have the calorie king book and it says 1 extra large egg white is 16 calories and the yolk is 63 calories

Usually about 16 or 17 so calories. However, you barely get any nutrition from it. The egg yolks have the most nutrients you need.

For your typical Grade A Large or Extra-Large egg, the egg white runs anywhere from 15-17 calories.

Egg whites is about 16-17 calories for a large egg. That's what I use if I eat it boiled or just use the white & scramble it.

I hate yolk--I can only eat it if I scramble it.

On here you search for egg whites boiled and find the large eggs (thats what I use, and its 17 calories for one egg white)....

Thanks very much, I actually did look in the database first, but you know how conflicting that thing can be...
