We all have many reasons for weight loss. Getting in better shape, strengthening our health, etc., etc. But have you every had a child's words factor into your decision to lose weight?
I have always been self-conscious about my arms, because I was cursed with the dreaded "bat wings." I try not to wear short sleeved clothing and the winter is my favorite time of year to cover up! But I have a 3-year old cousin that I love to death and he is so adorable. He happens to be very "touchy-feely" because that's how he comforts himself and puts himself to sleep. His favorite places are your ears and ARMS!
One day I was driving him to church and he informed me that he was sleepy so I reached my arm back to help him relax. He started to rub the lower part of my arm, which is much smaller than my upper arms. He got mad and told me, "No!! I want your BIG ARMS!" I felt so bad, but I know I have big arms, and he just loves to push and rub on it and make it even worse.
Kids say the darnest things.....

My 3 year old son was sitting next to me on the couch at the beginning of the year and he started poking my thigh. He asked me why I was so "quishy". That went into another conversation about Mommy being fat, and now they him and his older sister think its a fun game to run around me and poke at me saying "Mommy your so quishy". Yeah, I'm aiming to not be so "quishy" any more.0
