I have a very sore deltoid (I think that's the muscle, it extends from my bicep to the front of my chest, also up to my neck - which are the traps, right?) - on my left side, naturally - all my injuries on my left - elbow, neck, knee, and now deltoid. I wish I knew why I'm always hurting the same side - it's the weaker side. Luckily, I talked myself out of going to severe yoga and did a video - I couldn't finish. So the next two days I'm taking a recovery. I think I'm pushing up too much in headstand.

Ask and you shall receive - we got a little rain this morning - just enough to get the ground wet and cool it off a bit - still nice though.

Today - ride to the store and walk. Tomorrow - hotel gym.

Know when to stop, boogaloo!

Mary I'm sorry you are hurting. I hope a couple of days off will help.
Alex and I are going for a quick walk this morning before his therapy. It will only be about thirty minutes. We're going to the park to feed the ducks. That may be all the exercise I get today. It's kind of my day off.
I spent about three hours last night filling out grant paper work, and I'm still not completely done. Plus we have all the other paperwork to do. I think I dreamed about it last night.
    Have a good day!
No more paper work boogaloo! I wish!

Yes Mary, your anatomy is correct! Make sure you do something to use those muscles or the delayed muscle soreness will linger longer (just what you wanted to hear right!) :flowerforyou:

Well, I guess I qualify for eating mindfully yesterday. I even said to my husband, I'm not sure if I'm hungry, tired or bored! Isn't admiting the problem the first of the 12 steps?!?! :blushing: Anyways, I am glad I didn't ruin it and get into the junk food. I opted for one of my son's 100% fruit juice boxes to satisfy my sweet craving. Heading to the store for some fruit today!

Did another 5 this morning. Feeling pretty good. That always makes the workout worth it; the way I feel after is amazing (most times)!

    Have a great day!

    Hi ladies,

Today is a session with my trainer. I feel sort of low-energy today, as my special lady time has arrived. But, my trainer has been very understanding lately helping me strike a balance between pushing hard and killing myself (hey, who knew there was a difference?). Hopefully, I'll have a good session followed by a short walk home. (have to stop at the produce market on the way.)

Then, I'm going to get a mani-pedi before dinner.

    Treat day boogaloo!

    Take care, pebbs.:flowerforyou:

    Good Morning!!!

I'll be glad when Whale Wars premieres -- this week of nonstop parties has me running ragged! Last night I went to a party at Arianna Huffington's house and it was AMAZING and sooooo fun. I managed to avoid all the appetizers (anyone else find that it's much easier to eat none of them rather than just eat a few?) but I had a few too many drinks and am feeling it this morning. Owwwweeeeeee. Head hurts.

P.S. for those that are keeping track, I took the new guy I've been dating and he did really well at the party! Stuck by my side for a good amount, but broke away on his own too to mingle, especially as I was doing a lot of catching up with people from the ship. I'm head over heels in like!

Okay, back to the reason I'm here.

I was bummed yesterday because there was a sub for my core class and she did a pilates routine that was far easier than the usual class. Oh well.

    Today:
    ~ 45 minute bike ride
    ~ Work in garden
~ Yoga tonight for 30 minutes
    ~ Go to bed early!!!!

Ended up re-scheduling for Saturday with my trainer. Which means today is my second day off/light activity day this week, which means I just went over on my calories. I read somewhere that a woman actually uses about 300 more calories on her period, so if that's true then I'm right on track.

    Playing hooky boogaloo.

DH said I look smaller! Maybe this is working! The scale doesn't say so but who cares! My husband says so!
