I recently got my tongue pierced because I keep hearing of certain "benefits" that could be had from it. Just wanted to ask if anyone can speak on this without getting the thread locked, lol. :drinker: :blushing:

Honestly... no benefit. Unless your planning on freezing it with an ice cube first so we can feel the coldness of it. Because your taking metal.. that has been in your mouth.. so its already body temp... to something that is even hotter... yeah, wont feel a thing... Like I said, unless your planning to freeze it... aint gonna get any added benefit than what you would with an unpierced tongue.

So talking about eating "tang" causes you to lose your appetite? Curious:huh:

My husband has his tongue pierced, but I don't think that makes any difference or added benefits.

I have not heard of any health BENEFITS of a tongue ring.. but a couple of negatives that come to mind are propensity toward possible infections and less intelligibility of speech... Of course pierced jewelry is not my thing anyway but to each his own.

You can get a little thing that goes on your piercing and it vibrates, I'm not sure if that will do anything either though, it might not be that powerful.

Your welcome. :) Sometimes I don't even see an added benefit in mine, so 90% of the time, I don't even wear mine. Its more of a fashion statement than anything.

Haha, that was an interesting take on the thread!

Seriously, though dude - I've never heard a girl say that it makes a lick of a difference (like what I did there?).

I've had multiple piercings in... errr another spot... and also no difference. Sure makes a good conversation starter at a party though.

why am i here, in this thread?

    i blame the scotch.

there are benefits to a pierced tongue. but not what you think. they're fun to have. for naughty fun, again, sure, but not for what you think.

your dentist is really going to hate you though.

which is sort of a bonus in my book.

psst.. if you want piercings that make a difference, check out apadravya, ampallang, frenlulum, and dydoe piercings. i've heard they are quite lovely.

This has nothing to do with sex –

    (*gasp* I said it)

    – but according to my friends with tongue piercings, there is a risk of chipping or otherwise damaging your teeth. So be careful!

I know this to be true. My ex took hers out because she chipped a tooth. But she had a bad habit of grinding her teeth in her sleep. Probably when she did it

I had one and so did my ex. Benefits are minimal, really. I took mine out because it caused my gumline to recede. He still has his, though, and had no dental issues.

Oh yea, and you bite down on it a lot or clink your teeth.

i so want a tongue ring. But worried about the chipped teeth.

But ummm....a tongue ring does feel awesome, lemme tell you. Made a guy who failed at oral so much more better at it, but I think it was because once he had the tongue ring he tried harder. Lol oh god. Tmi I know.

Also you should get your nipples pierced :p sensitivity has increased 10 fold lol.

Yes, I do like what you did there...
And this other piercing sounds like something I would enjoy. I've found a barbell is somehow more... pronounced (though maybe that's because he gauged it? don't even want to think about that)... In my experience, it's more useful during the foreplay stage of things when, say, a certain amount of friction is involved, but no penetration.
Yeah, that's really good... better than the penetration was with this particular fella, sadly.
