Calories burned lifting weights?

I recently started going to the gym and have been logging my exercise in MyFitnessPal. I do not see any choices to enter weight lifting though. Surely, this must burn some calories! How do you enter this?

Under cardio there is a strenth traing/weight lifting option0

I never logged the calories burnt doing strength as they didn't seem accurate to me. So pleased I didn't. I now have a HRM and log from that and the difference is incredible. Sometimes MFP can be as much as four times as much.0

You can log strength training or add a new exercise but the only accurate way to your body size is to use a hrm that Will tell you your burn exact0

The difference between cardio and strength training is that the body burns calories from it for a much longer period.
So while the "cardio" part of the exercise may be overstated, the entire caloric burn is higher.0
