OK I don't know if this is the right place/forum/area, but I keep trying to put off more weight loss, and sabotaging myself because I'm scared of something.
If I lose all this weight am I gonna be floppy with extra skin? That is the scariest thing that I can think about and for some reason it seems worse than being this overweight.
Does anyone else feel this way?

Age is on your side here, and you can prevent uneccessary sagging by losing weight at a sensible pace, keeping yourself hydrated and doing resistance training. It's not something I've ever considered, but it is a concern for a lot of people.

Why don't you worry about that if and when it happens?

Losing the weight will help you stay healthy, live a better life, and stay out of the doctor's office. Any extra skin you MAY have can be dealt with much easier than diabetes, heart disease, or death.

Though I don't like the thought of having floppy flabby skin (especially where my arms are concerned) I think that having a thinner and healthier body is well worth it.

My mom told me another way to think about it. Look at the flab as a success and a reminder- this is what you have done to make yourself better, this is where I don't want to go back too.

You will look great as you eat right and lose weight, a little bit of lose skin is not worth staying in an unhealthy place.

And if you do have extra arm skin, you can always do something about it. Better than being dead or having a stroke, can't do much about it then.

Thanks everyone, thinking about it as kind of a reminder of what I've lost, and also that its better than being dead makes it seem a lot less scary, and more of something good. I feel a lot better now phew
