Hello everyone, im new in here.. I just found this amazing site online and couldnt help it but join it.
I (like most of the people) started with this weight loss stuff as a new year´s resolution. I was really close to 200 lbs, to be honest I never weighted myself cause i was too afraid of the scale. I started doing it just 2 weeks ago. You might be asking how I know I was close to 200 then, well, I noticed on my clothes, the one im using now are clothes that didnt fit in YEARS!!
Anywho... I use the scale once a week.. First time I used it i was 176.4.. Last week I was down to 173.4..And today (huge surprise cause Ive been working out like crazy, walking at least 30 min everyday and practicing zumba daily) i am 172.4 =S
Period must arrive today, or tomorrow, and I know thats the reason, but damn you mother nature  !!, its a big disappointment =(
I just hope next week im down to 170!.. wish me luck!

1 pound of weight loss is GOOD!

Weight loss is not linear. You will lose more some weeks and less other weeks. It's about the average and getting to your goal in a healthy and sustainable way!

I know its not that bad, cause some girls stay on the same weight during that time of the month, others even gain some!.. But if i compare it with the 3.4 i lost the previous week, ugh, is nothing..

Understand your frustration. Damn PMT and all it's water retention. Please don't base your weight loss around the scales and only the scales. Measure the inches lost. See and enjoy how much better your clothes fit you now. Focus on the health, OMG this is what I have to do just to not drown in frustration which I know can lead me to failure. I use my frustration not to get mad but to get even! It makes me more determined.

Wait a little while and the take a look at it in a couple months. My weight loss is all over the map. 1 pound loss, 4 pound loss, 1 pound gain, 0.4 pound loss, 0.8 pound loss, 3.4 pound loss, 1.5 pound gain etc etc etc... but if I look at the 41 pounds I've lost in about 6 months, on the *average* it's very close to the 2 pounds a week MFP sets out for me (and other sites like WW recommend this amount also).... so it's working, it's like the groove in a record... up close it's all jagged and random up and down up and down, but pull back a little and look at the big picture and it's a nice smooth line.

(And yes, I'm expecting the question of "what is a record?")
