I needed to vent a little so I thought I would do a little motivational venting. When I started my journey to health I was very very heavy! I was over 300 lbs when I started and could not do a big grocery store trip b/c I couldn't stay on my feet that long. I get so aggravated when I see those who have used weight loss surgery, some fad diet (like hcg drops or Atkins) to lose weight. I guess I had to do so much work,...not just on my eating habits and exercise habits but on my head that I feel like people that use those things are just looking for the easy way out. I realize there are those who are very very morbidly obese and their last resort is weight loss surgery but it shouldn't be for everyone. ANYONE can lose the weight if they make small sustainable changes to their lifestyle. To date I have lost 117lbs in 15 months. Sure it hasn't been super fast, but I believe it will last. I am not trying to judge or make anyone upset, I just want people to understand that you CAN do it if you want to. Before people have the weight loss surgery they usually have to lose a certain amount of weight and do a diet before hand. I feel like, if people can do that for the surgery....they don't really need the surgery...unless you are over 500 lbs or something. I just want to encourage you to not try the easy way out but believe in yourself and realize you can do it!!! Thanks for listening!!
