Hernia????

Any of you guys know what a hernia feels like? I've got a small egg shaped lump in the upper right of my abdomen, not tense, but not soft either...waiting for a docs appointment, I'm just wondering if I can keep swimming in the meantime?
I swim breaststroke, and just wondering if the down kick would make it worse?

    I'm not a doctor, but I play one on MFP. See your doctor, don't do anything that makes it hurt more.

    Got an appointment on Thursday next week, so we shall see. It doesn't hurt or anything...I hope it isn't anything that will need anything doing to it!

    Well, I think I gave the doc a good laugh!!!

    Most probably a muscle that is sitting over my 12th rib (or the 12th rib itself). Off to go swimming now!
