Question about taking supplements.....?

this might be a bit of a weird question, but do you take your supplements all at the same time or do you pace them out through the day? i'm thinking of adding fish oil or vitamin E to my sea kelp and vitamin C supplements, but the size of the tablets/capsules are HUGE!
does it matter if you take them all at once or not? are there some that you aren't supposed to take together at all?
what is the best plan of attack? lols

I don't know if it makes any difference but I take mine (C, Omega-3, Blueberry, multi,E, Q10 & glucosomine, pomegranate) all with breakfast just as a matter of convenience.0

I've never heard that you shouldn't combine them. Although, some prescription drugs should not be taken at the same time as some supplements.
I take them all at once, after breakfast. Trying to split them up would confuse me.0 -
Most of the time is is fine to take everything at once. However for future reference, with certain minerals (Ca, Mg, Fe) it is better to stagger them throughout the day as they compete for the same receptors. A good general rule is to take Ca in the morning and Mg at night (as it helps you sleep, bonus). Some supplement companies also suggest that it is more beneficial to take probiotics before bed.0

cool. i've only ever taken one or two at a time before so i didn't know if taking more might be counter productive in anyway at all. i will add them to my breakfast menu then!

No problem :flowerforyou: It's nice when my knowledge can actually be of use. :laugh:0 -
As far as vitamin supplements like that go I take mine usually around lunch time. I just take a multi-vitamin but its got B Vits in it so I gotta take it with food, and then they give me an extra lil oomph to get through the afternoon slump0

Also, it's a lot more economical (and easier to swallow) if you purchase the oil in liquid form..cause its the same stuff, but you don't have to pay for the encapsulation process. And many supplements don't even taste bad at all (often they have natural citrus or rosemary oils added) . You just have to make sure you keep it in your fridge and don't take too long to use it up.0 -
I take all of mine in the morning0
