Hello everyone
I started dieting today, I'm 5'11 , 210 pounds, 28.9 percent body fat and looking to trim the gut down a bit and build mass.
Is 1950 calories a good amount for me??? I thought it was but I keep reading about people eating 2900 calories a day!!
Please help!!!

I was confused myself. You might want to call your Dr. and ask how many calories you should be consuming. They will know what is healthy for you!0

For my body 1900 would be a binge
So I think you should just eat healthy, don't over eat, only eat when your hungry and
See how you go. You don't need to listen to a silly doctor who
thinks they know everything just listen to yourself and your body0 -
Us in the forums can't tell you that, it has to do with how much exercise you do each day, and your own body. I'd start by doing what MFP recommends and see if that works. If you're hungry and lacking energy, you may need to increase it. If you really want to get some specific help, ask a doctor, or some of the personal trainers at any gym. They're usually very educated about what you need to build mass.0
