Hi! I weigh 170 right now, 5'4" and my goal weight is 130/135. There will be a competition at my job and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on dieting or working out. For example, how often should I do cardio and how often should I do strength? How many days per week and how many hrs per day? Any tips on what I can make for healthy snacks? Lunch?

Any ideas will be much appreciated!

There's so much you can do, and more information that you can find in one post.

I generally don't like weight loss competitions, because they tend to encourage people to crash diet instead of adopting healthy lifestyles. They are also temporary.

Nevertheless, if you've never dieted before, any little thing will make a difference. Eat breakfast. Eat more meals a day. Do a lot of snacking. Healthy foods, vegetables, lean meats, whole grains

Cardio is okay, but I like to push strength-training. :) Take it slow and aim for small improvements instead of giant ones. That's what wins it in the long run.
