Afternoon slump

Ugh, its 2:39. I've already eaten my yummy health nut lunch... and now my energy level is crashing!!
What does everyone do for a mid afternoon energy recharge short of drinking coffee!!
My work day doesn't end until 6pm and then I shove off to the gym... Its hard to motivate myself to go to the gym when I'm feeling ready for a nap at 3pm!

  • I snack on apple wedges with some Peanut butter or I drink Lipovitan (its basically a B-vitamin liquid concentrate) and it picks me up.

    another thing alot of ppl tend to forget is getting enough sleep. its so important. it keeps you looking younger and you'll have more energy. I tend to make up on weekends for what i miss out during the work week. I tell my daughter if the dead comes knockin tell them to come back, Im sleepin.

    A handful of almonds is a great afternoon energy pickup
  • 1/2 cup almond breeze almond milk with a cup of either cheerios, kix, or corn flakes is sooo good.

    I luv almond milk. I get the one with the vanilla. the lady at the Whole foods store showed me what to do with it. I put it in tea. Twining Oolong tea. I warm it just like milk. To sweeten it I use NatraTaste sweetners. Its like drinking a latte. It is soooo good. It is also gentle on my tummy.
