The corn is a cheap food thing is BS because 6 or less husks are 2 bucks
That's like 30 cents each, how cheap do you want them?

The genetically modified corn and soybeans, used as filler in almost all processed foods, labeled as high fructose corn syrup, citric acid and a myriad of other preservatives, are not the same as the husks of corn you buy to put on your barbecue.

This makes me angry too! All we hear is how there is to many over weight people in America. Yet at the store you can get 2 bags of doritos for 5bucks or spend a lot more for fresh produce or anything healthy.
I really don't know why this confuses people. These are two completely different things. The supermarkets aren't the ones telling you that we're overweight.

You constantly hear that drugs are bad, but people will still sell you crack. Why? Because it isn't the crack dealers telling you that drugs are bad. Unrelated.

Its not that im confused over this. I understand that supermarkets are there to make money. But in my opinion i believe its just cheaper to buy the junk food there for its easier to be overweight.

you can go into poundland and buy a crap screwdriver for £1
or buy a decent one for a fiver or more, which one would you rather have?
  • I have read somewhere that supermarket fruit and veg is around 60% higher in price than from a market,,,Supermarket shopping is all about psychology,, their wits against ours!! When I go shopping and have got what I went in for but feel myself wavering at the so called bargains I head out via the cat food aisle!

Just been shopping and could have purchased 10 doughnuts for £1, but 5 apples were £1.35. I went for the apples but still annoying.

Junk food may be cheap ... but we eat it at great cost to ourselves ..... worth thinking about eh :ohwell:
