Ex smokers who've lost weight.

I was a 27 year 2 pack a day smoker but on Jan 21, 2001 I quit cold turkey and haven't picked up a cigarette to this day. Now I'm on a quest to lose a bunch (100+) of weight. I figure if I could successfully quit smoking, I can successfully lose weigh and so far so good. Ex-smokers share a special bond so I decided to create this place for us to support each other in our weight loss journeys.

I was a pack a day'er for over 20 years. I quit in 2007. Started again (a little) in 2009. Quit again 2010. I'm good this time. DH and I were out on Friday night and someone said to me "You're still not smoking?" And I thought to myself, "What in the hell are you talking about, I don't smoke" It took me a dumbfounded second to remember that I actually smoked a pack a day for 20 years.
