I'm thinking of trying out the Paleo diet. I still like to go out with friends and have a few drinks, what drinks are allowed on the diet, it seems like all are either processed or made from grains. Help?

Unless you're going STRICT paleo, a few drinks every now and again don't hurt.

I am eating a mainly paleo diet, except I eat dairy and peanut butter. Other than that, no grains.

Thanks! Would i see better results if I went strict Paleo vs something like you're doing?

It's hard to say that a food is "allowed" vs "not allowed". There are foods that work really well with the paleo/primal lifestyle and foods that don't, but since this is 2012 AD not BC, it's understood that it's virtually impossible to eat like a caveman 100% of the time. Alcohol doesn't work well with this lifestyle in general. But if this is one thing you need to indulge in once in a while, it's not necessarily a huge deal.

I came across this a while ago if you want a guide to what alcohol works best when you're living the paleo lifestyle:

Organic wine is probably the most natural and grain free alcoholic beverage.

Yeah, don't think I'll be ordering that at a bar anytime soon. Thanks for the suggestion though!
