I need help knowing how to log my latest workouts.... I have been working hard on the TRX. I pick 2 exercises and work one hard (like jump squats x 20) and then move right into the next move ( Suspended knee tucks x 20 each)... I do that without stopping (back and forth between the 2 exercises) for 3 sets and then do two other exercises the same way....and two more and so on!! I am drenched in sweat and keep my heart rate up high....how do I log a workout like this to know my calories burned!?!?!? Thanks for your help"

I have the same problem logging squats and box jumps so i usually just pretend its running at 5MPH and log the amount of time i spent performing the move. I figure it gets my heart rate up for the same amount of time, its probably burning the same amount of calories.

I don't know if this is accurate, but I think if you invest in a heart rate monitor and then track time at each heart rate, maybe you can calculate calories burned that way?

Try "Aerobics, High Impact". I used it for when I was doing Insanity.
  • i would say circuit training or calisthenics......

I have a Polar heart rate monitor that also calculates how many calories I am burning while I am exercising. It works extremely well. So that when I do Zumba, Pilates or whatever I can post my calories burned.
