coke vs diet coke

just saw this on Kathie Lee and Hoda show. she put a diet coke can unopened and a coke can unopened in a container of water. the coke can sunk and the diet coke can floated. they said they were putting it on facebook to see anyone knew why. i just thought it was interesting and wanted to share.

yup it's the density, sugar and sugar substitute. i guess you could almost use this to explain the "fat weighs more than muscle". which i am not starting something about that. but, the same principal it think.0

It's the density of the liquids. Not a hard question, that's actually a pretty old (about 20 years old) middle school science experiment, that science teachers used to teach the scientific method.0
