need some toning/strength tips!

Hello all! I have recently gotten down to a satisfying weight for me but am not noticing it so much in the trouble areas(tummy and tushie). After doing some research I see so many who look GREAT after strength training. I pretty much do cardio for 30 minutes (or more depending on time) every other day and top it off with some workouts on the gym machines. I want to know if using the machine or 'myself' would help tone me better? Also what work outs have really helped others? Should I continue doing cardio while doing these other exercises? Thank you everyone who tries to help me look good:bigsmile:

    New Rules of Weight Lifting for Women has some great information but I'm not a huge fan of the diet or the routine. I like the StrongLifts 5x5 routine better (google it, it's free). Make sure you really focus on getting your form right at first (there are videos, or better yet, see if you can get a session with a trainer or someone who knows how to lift).

    Thank! I signed up for it but now I'm confused... I downloaded everything but can't find something that directs me on what to do?
