Cycling good for runners knee?

Hello Everyone!
I've been having problems with my knee lately while running and walking downhill. I'm pretty sure its runner's knee since my shoes are getting old an i am flat footed and over pronate.
I'm trying to give my knee some rest and am taking a break from running. Is cycling a good cardio workout for cranky knees? Any other suggestions? I hear swimming is also good.

Cycling is very good for sore knees, there's no impact and your still getting your cardio in.0
