Has anyone heard of Food Combining Charts? I guess the theory is by combining certain foods, you ensure a healthy digestive system and thus weight loss. I found numerous charts online. Most say to avoid eating proteins and carbs together, eat carbs with non-starchy veggies, and eat fruits alone (and not to mix certain fruit types - especially melon). Has anyone followed these and if so what were your results?

I've been reading about it too, but I don't believe that it would help you lose more weight. I'm mostly interested in it because I feel it would help avoid bloating and some digestive issues I've experienced. Honestly though, I think as long as you're eating mostly whole foods and staying within your deficit, you'll be fine .. or even great! I'd love to hear result from people who've actually adhered to food combining for a prolonged amount of time, as I have not.

I did the Suzanne Somers food combining diet years ago. I lost 30 lbs and kept it off for about a year. Never had to take even one TUMS when I did it, and her recipes were amazing, just a little too time-consuming for me at the time.
