I've been thinking about getting the silicone band one where you can change out the band faster than the velcro one. How well have yours held up to the wear and tear?

I was looking at the original velcro vs the slim silicone - those of you have both, I would also love to know which you like better, and how they hold up.

I had one with the clasp and my kid had one of the slim ones. He somehow managed to put a cut in his band removing it. I think the metal plate cut into the band. My clasp one was forever popping-open, which was fixed with a new clasp (this was a known problem and they sent everyone new clasps), but I stopped wearing it before that, anyhow. On long, sweaty Summer bike rides I was developing bad eczema under the band from the mix of sweat and sunblock that would build-up on my skin under the band. I don't have this issue with the traditional fabric band.

I think I have had mine for 4 years? Maybe a little less. I have the traditional fabric with velcro. I might need to check out the new merch!
