I normally do 45-60 minutes of cardio 6x a week. I have been trying to use the weights 5x a week to start toning up. How many exercises should one do? I do triceps one day, biceps another, then back, then chest and finally shoulders. For example: Triceps I do skull crushers, standing pull downs and kick backs. I typically do 3 sets of 12 reps. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

My suggestion would be to combine days...for example today I did biceps and triceps....bicep curls, tricep kickbacks then abs and 1 minute of sprints on treadmill 3 X 15 reps....then next round crossover curls and overhead tricep extentions repeat with abs and sprints 3 x 15...last round hammer curls and triceps pushdowns, abs and sprints 3x15. Next day I will probably do legs/shoulders and then the following day I will do chest back.0

You should lift 3 times a week and do whole body lifts like squats, deadlifts, bench press. Order the book. "The new rules of lifting for women"or look on the net for compounds lifts program0

Lift weight heavy enough to challenge the muscle. If the weights are heavy enough, then it doesn't matter how many sets and reps you do.
