Sorry to hear that Jacque, I hope it doesn't last long! :drinker: water and stay hydrated (usu my biggest problem and makes matters worse):flowerforyou:0 -
Happy b-day missheidi!
Hope you feel better jacque!
Sounds like no one really cares either way about the chart so I am not going to update it. Well Hope you all have a great day! I have a day off work so little man and I are going to finish cleaning today and maybe have a play date with one of his friends. Talk to you later!0 -
Jacque509 - I hope you feel better soon! :flowerforyou:0

Happy birthday Missheidi....hope you have a great day!!!:flowerforyou:
i did pretty well this weekend....or better than I thought i would. My daughter graduated this past Friday and we went back to the house and had some fam and friends over and had a few drinks...Im not a beer drinker so had a few screw drivers then did it all over again saturday night after her party.
So the most I consumed was alot of vodka but at least I drank yummy orange juice too.
We had fun though...:drinker:
Getting back into the groove today. Hope to get in my workouts this week. i can never make it to the gym it seems so I have decided if I dont make it there then I have to spend 20-30 mins at home doing sit ups, push ups, lunges,etc....doing anything is better than nothing.
Its been great weather here so maybe taking a long walk too.
Who knows....
Goodluck green team today and hope all is well..
Jacque...hope you are feeling much better today...lots of love and luck to you all!!!0 -
Oh man, I pigged out this weekend. Friday, went to chili's and got the guiltless grill carne asada, but at a ton of chips and salsa. Saturday... went to a place called Native New Yorker, had a philly cheesesteak and fries. only ate about 1/2 the bread and 1/2 the fries. Sunday, took step-daughter to Phoenix for a junior statesman symposium... She's staying on the ASU campus in a dorm until Wednesday. So, while we had the opportunity, we went to Uno's for pizza. When we got home, we ran into friends and had Cold Stone Creamery for dinner... At least I got their smallest size.
On the one hand, it was all wonderful! On the other, trying to commit myself to being strict all this week. Hopefully, by Friday I will at least break even. May go up, but at least I know exactly why. I am a little behind on my squats. I didn't do my exhaustion test yet. So, I'll do that today and then start week 3 wednesday.0 -
Still under the weather, hope everyone is back on track after the weekend0
-
Well still feeling like crap:frown: But draged myself to work anyway. Hope everyone is doing good. Haven't been recording anything since I been sick so as of today back on the wagon. If I am not totally wiped out will try to make it to the gym after work.0
-
so sorry you still arent feeling well jacque....hope you feel better soon. keep the fluids in you!!!
I did okay yesterday on my eating but hope to keep doing better. Daughter starts gymnastics again today and so i will be going to the gym b/c while shes in class I head there to workout. its right next door  yeah!!!
So hope to get in a great 1 hour workout. I plan to do as much as I can without hurting myself.
Good luck everyone and have a great Tuesday!0 -
Well we had free lunch today but I ate my salad and chicken from home, I did take an eggroll and 1 cheese puff, so i derintely will have to work out after work.0
-
:flowerforyou: Good tuesday to everyone!
Well, I have lost 2 pounds in the last few days, but we will see if it stays that way!
Pretty tired today, but am gonna work it out!
I would love a mini chart, for the chart makres...... I knwo noone responded to the chart question a few days ago, but I deff think it is a motivator!
I would make one If I knew how:laugh:
Well I ll check in later!!!!:)
WHERE ARE ALL THE GREENIES AT!?!?!?
ROLL CALL!!!!!
GREEN TEAM KICKING BUTT AND TAKING NAMES!  :bigsmile:0 -
i like charts too.0
-
I'm here. I have just been really busy lately and been pretty swamped at work.
Maybe what we can do is just have a chart for the greenies that want to be included in it. It is really time consuming to do everyones expecially 4 weeks ago when I did it. It seems like our numbers have really dropped off again. Is anyone else good with making charts?0 -
Present for roll call~~~
I think our numbers have dropped off again too, it's gotten to the point that I'm only checking in like once a day and I really like to do it throughout the day......:grumble: Not sure what the problem is, guess everyone is just busy with summer, travel, graduations and all that good stuff.0 -
I can do charts0
-
 I don't know how to do charts, but I will cheer on there person who does!!!!     you gals!0
-
I can do charts also. I am a stay at home mom with plenty of time on my hands. Just let me know if you want me to do the chart. I have been struggling since my son left to spend 6 weeks with his bio mom. I am sad and lonely. My life is not right without my son. Also, I am fighting off a cold which is why I am struggling with this week's challenge. I am not even doing what I normally would do for exercise. My mother-in-law is coming for a visit tomorrow so I have got to get the house cleaned. Ugh!::grumble: I got to go to water aerobics now. I'll check in later.0
-
i agree that its the same ones checking in. We have had alot to drop out and off.
So we might want to either re-recruit or at least get a good head count of those that are left that want to continue and be put on the chart. We had sooo many 3 weeks ago and now we are down to maybe 7 or 8. I too have been real busy. Work has been slammed...which is a great thing and no complaints here
and graduation, kids at home from school, and doing anything and everything I can outside when I get home. I get on here while at work when I dont have a customer so only a few days a week are we not busy.
I dont mind if we do or dont do a chart; i just want to make sure to continue pushing myself with challenges. Whether I get to them or not, i have them in the back of my head and like to know I have to try that much harder to get to them.
Good luck to everyone and Happy Hump day!! :drinker:0 -
I think we need to try and remember that alot of people start off strong but then give up easily, esp if they don't see results. Now i have been on every day but the day mom was in the hospital and last weekend i miss 2 days. but overall that is sooo much better then before. I think If whoever has the time to do charts that is great, and yeah its a motivator for me too but that should not be the only thing to keep us going. remember its hard to make changes and lets try not to be to hard on the people that left.I think if you all want to recuit we can and that sounds good to me but remember half will probably fall off again. So tomorrow night I will post Week 5 do you want me to add new members are welcome , let me know0

Got on the scale this morning and was so happy not to have a weight gain, esp since I have done no exercise since last Wed:huh: Still not over this cold but will have to do something tonight or I will gain before Friday:sick:
Anyway I feel that the challenge would of been great for me this week if I haven't gotten sick, so I think I might try it next week
OMG!!:noway: My daughter is trying out for competitive cheer tonight, and the money involved is unbelivable!! How does a single mom do it? And if I do it them my Son is gonna go all ape $%^& on me if I don't let him do guitar lesson soon. I need a serious sugar daddy:bigsmile:
I think I might need a part time job on top of the full time one.
No wonder I overeat and get stressed out 2 teenagers in the house are killing me, a slow and painful death:embarassed:0 -
  Jacque509~ I don't know how a single mom can do it because I know a married couple sure as hell struggles with that as well. Im telling you , I put my girls in soccer this year and it cost 175$ for both, which ok I was a little shocked (when I was growing up in the 80's it was free or close to free) so yeah I was rubbed a little raw.... well soccer just ended and my daughter says "I want to start cheerleading" well I look into it and it is 175$ for one KID TO START!!!!! not to mention the traveling and all that!!! CHEERLEADING is SUCH and envestment!!! I mean it is great for kids and all but year after year it costs sooo much, and then if they want competition level (as far as I know they need som gymnastic) $$$$$ OMG.........I might fall over dead before these kids turn10!
SO GREEN TEAM!!!!!!
The scale talked to me this morning and it was being VERy nice.........really it was being too nice:bigsmile:  :blushing: :blushing:   so I will not share with you what it said until true weight in on friday!
It might be lieing again, you know how thoses evil scales are (especially mine after throwing it out the window last week:devil:  )
I will check in later to see how everyone is doing !!!!!
     GO GRREEEEEEEEEEENNNNNN!0 -
About posting the week 5....sorry brain laps......
maybe we should stay small and strong?! It would be good, and if anyone wants to drop in and join, well so be it!!!!
GREEN TEAM YOU BETTER SWEAT TODAY!!!!!!  Or else!!!! ya0 -
Well the monthly fee is $285 a month, not including practice wear $125, offical wear another $250 she has the talent but OMG!! she is 16 and willing to use her paycheck to help but her paycheck are small. She has done gymastic and dance when she was young, karate untill she got bored at orange belt, swim team for 2 years. Volleyball for 3 years and cheerleading captain in junior high. oh yeah softball too. so I have spent alot of money on this kid already and now this, oh i also fogot the beauty pagent and plays at the community theather. See what you have to look forward too!!0
-
:noway: *drops dead right here and now*
I used to downhill ski and it cost 500$ a year on the team for the passes and what not, now I was really good... but my parents would only pay half each year, I had to come up with the other half.
And we were broke......
So much for saving for my kids "Higher education fund" I might as well not even put it in the bank.
At least she helps out:bigsmile: what a good girl... momma raised her right!
Well if shes talented then you gotta do it! Im sorry that it is so expensive though..that is aweful!
can they work a payment plan with you? I would ask....never hurts to ask:bigsmile:
Good luck sweets0 -
i am feeling you on the costs of teens...but all kids are money suckers!
I have 4 kids and 3 are teens. My step daughter may have just turned 18 but college is costing us and her senior year was CRAZY! then the 17 year old is getting his license and trying to fix his truck and is on track and cross country. Cross country is beginning now for training b/c its a fall sport so have just forked over money for that. Our 14 yr old is becoming a freshman this upcoming year and wants to do marching band. It is $250 by July for band camp and my 4 yr old just finished gymnastics and will be starting dance in the fall. All this and yet the summer is here and going to place like six flags and the water parks cost! :noway:
Kids are sooo much. I swear if I could lose weight like I "lose" money I would be a stick figure.
The things we do for our kids. I love them and want to do for them anything I can within reason, its just hard b/c I know my husband and I may have our jobs right now but we wonder the what if's day to day and what happens when we come into work one day and may not have a job. what do we do then.
So i feel your pain....and wish my money tree in the back yard just wasnt so bare.
hope you all have a much better day. Jacque feel better....and missvitavon.....hope that scale thing works out for you on friday and we wont have a murder on our hands....lol :laugh:0 -
"Kids are sooo much. I swear if I could lose weight like I "lose" money I would be a stick figure. "
That is the best quote I have ever heard Kit!!!!   :laugh:0 -
yiles, I couldn't afford kids....esp w/bf laid off, it's all I can do to pay the bills!:explode:0
-
I think kit wins!!!:drinker: best quote of the week!! We no longer get free lunches at work anymore:frown: Now there goes more money, I was saving alot with the free lunches but of course I was putting on the weight. So today I had to get lunch and I bought salad and chicken so calorie wise free lunches were bad:huh: but money wise they were great:glasses: Oh well maybe I will lose weight this way0
-
Well ok sooo we all agreed kids cost to much, and the job situation is getting scarier everyday.
Porka, how are you doing it all by yourself? I am making it paycheck to paycheck at the moment only becaus of childsupport but that coming from unemploynent so that gonnna run out soon, You will need to give me ideas0 -
Wow :noway: Jacque. I guess thanks for giving me the heads up on how much all that is going to cost me in the future. As many of you know I am also a single mom to a wonderful 5 year old boy. He is just finishing t-ball and now wants to do Soccer. For t-ball we qualified for a full scholarship. I got the soccer info to late to apply for a scholarship. I would suggest asking them if they offer any partial or full scholarships or maybe check out some different orginazations that might. Maybe try googleing it and see if some company has something set up. Just an idea. As for your son and guitar lessons Oh boy does that bring back memories for me. My parents paid for piano and guitar lessons for me. I was 15 when I started real guitar lessons. I fell in love with this blue electric guitar that was in the window of the shop. I told my dad I really wanted it for christmas which was about 6 weeks later. The following week the guitar had a sold sign on it. I was crushed. I cried. He had told me he couldn't afford it. Well while I was in my lesson he talked to the guy and worked out a payment plan and to my surprise christmas morning there was the guitar under the tree. So anyways back to your issue. I know when I was in school we had a guitar club and a guitar class we could take just like someone would do choir or band. I would check and see if his school has that option. I think ours even rented out guitars. You could also check and see if a music store would rent you a guitar or Target has some reasonably priced. You could also try and talk a music place down on the price I know they are hurting also in this economy. Check your local paper for someone who does lessons out of their home or is willing to come and do a lesson at your home. My cousin used to do that before he hit the road with brodway plays and stuff. Good luck and let me know if you find any more finacially feasable options.0
