Are you jealous of anyone at the gym?

I am in pretty good shape, so I think until I see this woman at the gym, who works out in the morning when I do.
I admire women who are crazy toned, looking good, and it doesn't bother me when they wear cute workout outfits to show it off. I admire that in fact, if you have it, show it!
Until now. There is this woman. I'm going to place her in her late 20's early 30's, She has the longest legs I've ever seen, hair literally to the top of her butt, always worn down or in two braided pigtails, tan, double DDs, and a beautiful face too. I want to call her "Heidi", because she looks like a Heidi to me.
If she has 3% body fat I would be shocked. But she is so slim and muscular... not bulky in the least. I have recently started lifting heavy so I'm in the weight room a lot. ALL of the guys lifting weights watch her with no shame.
She revels in it... throwing her hair back, re-adjusting her body bugg, taking every required 60 second break while everyone watches her.
God Bless the woman, I want to get even close to that. I am a little jealous at the attention she gets honestly, but I would much rather ask her what in the HELL she did/does to get in that kind of shape. If it took two years of discipline, it would be well worth it. I'm no dog and as hetero as Howard Stern, but geez, the woman is unreal.
Rant over.

I don't really get jealous of people in general, but there are definitely people who inspire me0

oh yeah...
there are a few women who i think look awesome obviously, but there are 2 that i've seen that can lift a ton. i like to think i have decent strength for being small, but these 2 women lift double what i do...its amazing.0 -
I feel like jealousy is a waste of energy. Take that energy and put it into getting a killer workout!0

There is a shift in my gym life lately. I used to admire the well defined guys, but felt so far from being one. I started a serious nutrition and training program last january and now the tables are completely turned around. I have built an impressive good physique at that extent than now when I work out I see a lot of different guys staring at me, and some even ask me if I compete.. Four months ago I'd never imagine that happen, but now it has really increased my drive and motivation. I still admire guys that have a high defined muscle shape, and always look at them to push myself harder.0

Hehe, funny that the description of this woman reminded me exactly of my old roomate when I was studying in Italy....and she was in fact called Heidi!
I have to admit that I do envy the women with the long toned legs....one thing that, at 5 feet 4, I will never achieve! But, after seeing my said housemate go for a 10-mile run every day.....my jealousy doesn't last very long! It does take many years of dicipline to have such a toned body....I think the same when I see professional ballroom dancers on TV. I danced until my late-teens, wish I had kept it up so I could have one of those amazing bodies! However, life took over back then, very few people in the real world have the time to achieve these temples! But, we can always admire those who have them!0 -
I'm jealous of everyone at the gym simply because I can't afford a membership to one. lol0

Exactly! Thanks girl, not hating, appreciating the genetics!0 -

Great job & congratulations! :drinker:
There's nothing more flattering than to be the one people are looking up to for inspiration athough there is also more pressure from being one.0 -
Nope. People like that inspire me to push my workouts a little harder.0

Nope not at all. If im not there yet I will be soon. Its just a matter of time.0

Nope its not pure genetics, its a result of years of consistent training plus good nutrition. More over, while running has its place but its not the main workout to tone up legs, you should also incorporate compound leg exercises such as squats, lunges, deadlifts etc. to tone up your lower body & keep your metabolism firing.0 -
Yeah... the people who have time to go there for 2 hours, 6 times per week. Really, I don't know how they do it! I think I'm jealous of them, though, because I assume they don't have to work. I know, I know, some of them probably do work full time (+), but it makes me feel better to assume they don't have to ;-p0

There are people who I admire, but am I jealous? No, it just inspires me to keep working hard.0

I'm jealous of anyone who is able to go to the gym to be honest.
I started working out, (I have a heart condition, but my cardiologist said I could exercise..) I even got my own little stationary bike to use at home.. then about a month later I had a severe anxiety attack out of nowhere and ended up in the hospital. Since then I've been on medication that has be tired and dizzy. The funny thing is, my cardiologist still tells me I can exercise.
I just wanted to put that out there. I really miss working out. :brokenheart:0 -
Usually I don't see any girls in the weight room! And when I do they are all huddled over by the dumbbells doing silly worthless exercises to "tone" I enjoy the attention I get! But there is one girl who comes in around the same time I do and man she is so strong! Squatting what seems like SO much more than me! She is a beast and I have thought about asking her if she needed a lifting buddy, but im shy xD0
