I walked 8746 steps today it says 4.6 miles. I've worn it for 10 hours. How do I enter this in exercise?

Currently there is not a way to track your pedometer readings. We are definitely considering adding this option for a future update. For now, what you can do is time how long it takes to do a certain amount of steps and then calculate your total day and add it in under the cardiovascular section under walking.
For example, if you walk 100 steps in 20 minutes, and then end up walking 1000 steps for the day, you could add 200 minutes in under "walking". Please remember, this will be a rough estimate. Also, please note we do already consider your average walking in your calculations already. So, if you time your whole day, you may want to take off some time for your normal walking.
Or if your pedometer has a calories burned field, then you can add the exercise in yourself. Just go to "cardiovascular" and then "create new exercise", and label it something like "my pedometer". Since this will be an individual estimate, it will be for your personal database and not the main database.
that was from an MFP staff ... i included the link0 -

That's why I got a FitBit, it measure the steps and the times when you walked and calculates the calorie burn and sends it to MFP.
The calories are a function of your weight and how fast you walked, a simple pedometer can never do that.
For reference, last week on 1 day I did 10,000 steps / 5.09 miles and that includes 1 hour of 3.5 mph non-stop walking, I burned 2911 calories. But I probably weigh more than you and burn calories faster.0 -

Actually, I added Steps by Pedometer to the data base. It's weird because in minutes I put steps and calories show in the calorie spot. First input I put the calories from my pedometer and now it calculates calories for me. I like it, but people who see this on my wall are all duh!0
