Rumour has it, that if you burn more calories than you are eating you gain muscle mass?
Therefore, the only solution would be to eat more if you are exercising, which to me seems so stupid. I go to the gym everyday and try and burn 800 calories through running, power walking or jogging. i'm 5"4 and weigh around 7 stone 3 pounds, 101 pounds. I don't understand the concept of having to eat more, just because I have been exercising?! Surely you go to the gym to keep fit or lose weight, not for an excuse to eat more?

if you stopped going to the gym everyday you would have to eat less to stay the same weight so exercising is allowing you to eat more, even if that isn't your reason for going to the gym.

It all depends on what your goals are.

If you want to be a size "whatever" with an unhealthy bf%, then don't eat extra calories.

If you want to be healthy with a healthy bf% then eat the extra calories.
