Are egg beaters really healthier than regular eggs?

In my opinion, no. The yolk is where all of the nutrition is and that is what Egg Beaters are leaving out. Real food is always better than a product manufactured by ConAgra. Like everything though, moderation is key.

Well I wonder what all the "hype" is about. I had an egg beater omelet for the first time this morning...taste like regular eggs plus I thought it was suppose to be healthier.

It may be "healthier" if you have cholesterol problems, but if you don't just eat the real thing!

I think it's more the calorie difference. I used to eat egg beaters until I read the ingredients and realized there's a lot more than just "99% eggs" in them. I will, however, do the egg whites sometimes which is 100% egg whites and they're not that bad.
