calorie vs calorie nutrition

Hi guys,
so there i was busy tapping away and recording everything i ate and all the exercises ive done for the day into MFP. then i realised something... when MFP refers to "calorie" do they mean calorie it turns of energy work, or nutritional calorie. because when you convert kJ to calorie and calorie nutritional, it's by different multiples.

for example, a barley wrap of 439kJ = approx 24 calories but 104 calories nutrition.

so my questions are:
1. should we count in calorie nutrition or calories
2. the exercise that we do, are they in calorie or calorie nutrition (im guessing calorie work/energy)

im utterly confused. someone help me?

thanks heaps!

um, there's no distinction, if something listed as a certain amount of kj and a different amount of calories than the standard conversion formula, then either it's wrong, or you've misread the label.

There is a distinction between calorie and Calorie.

Food and exercise here would be what you're referring to as nutrition, or captial C Calories, or kCal
